About the Artist
When Jill holds a threaded needle or paintbrush in hand, it’s for one purpose: to glorify God and to bless others.
Jill’s work is inspired by the rural beauty of South-Central Kentucky that she’s lived among her entire life, as well as the Christian faith that guides her life and family.
From sweeping meadows and delicate flowers to powerful vignettes of the Christian story, Jill uses her God-given gifts to remind others that we are made (and more importantly, loved) by a Master Creator. That’s why 100 percent of every purchase goes directly to a ministry or charity she supports.
Jill has been blessed with three children and seven grandchildren. She lives with her husband, Larry, in Lewisburg, KY.
“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”
– Matthew 6:26
The Artist’s Process
The subjects of Jill’s pieces are often discovered on strolls down the farmland lanes of Lewisburg–the ones she walks every week. Or from favorite Bible verses. Or photographs that capture fleeting moments of peace.
However the inspiration hits, she starts the composition in her sketchbook before putting brush to paper or needle to fabric. She experiments with light and texture to draw in the viewer and often hides subtle details rich with meaning.
